About showrun
We built the rundown we wanted to call shows from.
showrun comes from TDT Productions, a small studio in the Netherlands that builds tools for live events and AV. We make it because we call shows ourselves — and we wanted a rundown built for exactly that.
Why we built it
If you've called a show, you know the rundown is the heart of it — the one document that has to be right, and the same for everyone in the room. We wanted ours to feel quick to edit, to keep its own time, and to hold up when the room is full and the clock is running.
We've run plenty of shows on the tools that already exist. The serious broadcast systems are powerful and priced for institutions; most of the affordable options stop at a shared sheet. We wanted something in between — proper, but something a normal crew can pick up and trust. So we built it.
What showrun actually is
It's a fast rundown grid you can run a real show from. Rich-text cells, drag rows and columns, sections, find & replace — the editing feels quick instead of fighting you. Timing is derived on read, so durations, hard times and back-timing always add up; change one item and the rest just follows. When you're live, there's a proper calling mode with Standby/Go and schedule drift, and your crew reads along in realtime with roles and private notes.
It works offline too — keep editing through a connection drop and it syncs back up once you're online again. And it never fires your cues: a human calls the show; showrun just helps that human stay fast and calm. Want the full picture? Have a look at the features, or grab the run-of-show template to see how we think about a rundown.
How we work
showrun is in free public beta right now, and we're building it in the open. That means real showcallers, producers and crews are using it on real shows while we sand off the rough edges. If something's clunky, or there's a feature your show genuinely needs, we want to hear it — that feedback is shaping what we build next. You can reach us any time at info@tdtproductions.nl.
We're a Dutch company and we take that seriously: your data is stored in the EU and we keep things GDPR-friendly. If you're curious about the details, the privacy page lays it out plainly.
We're not trying to replace your whole control room — just to give you a rundown you can trust when the show is live and the room is full.
